Lost that loving Feeling? The 6 Cups Tarot

You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your lips. And there's no tenderness like before in your fingertips. You're trying hard not to show it, (baby). But baby, baby I know it...] You've lost that lovin' feeling, Whoa, that lovin' feeling... Lyrics from "You've Lost That Loving Feeling"Artist: Righteous Brothers

Sometimes we loose that loving feeling. We loose it, sparkle goes, and life gets tough. Sometimes, especially when we are older, we do not simply want to move on, but yet have a need to feel the warm energy that being loved or appreciated, brings. Sometimes, our own tank of love runs empty and because we don't "experience" being loved, it is difficult to dig deep and find a trace of that love which once was there.

On the positive side, we also have our own Genie inside of us, which is our spirit, and our Higher Self. We are all linked, somehow, in the Divine Love and Light of the Cosmos. We are all linked to the Divine. We come from the Divine. That love consciousness lies within all of us. Although we may have "lost the feeling", deep inside each and every one of us, we carry the vase, or heart of love energythat comes from our Source, from Divine Consciousness.

There are many love cards in tarot. The 6 cups is one of them, and today's post is about using the 6 cups in a meditational way, to help rediscover and experience that "loving feeling"...

The 6 cups shows two children, surrounded by 6 vases of flowers. In the background, buildings which look possibly like home and or church. The picture is an offering, a vase of flowers, from one child to the other. It is uncertain really as to who is giving the flowers to who; however one child bends their knees slightly, as if trying to get on the same level as the other child, who looks up to the taller one. 6 in numerolgy is about being comfortable, and living harmoniously.

Take a piece of paper, write down the positive words that come to your mind when you look at this card.

What words have you written down?

Look at the colour of the card that you are drawn to. For me it is pale yellow, a colour linked to Spring, to brighter days, and positive communication. For you it could be orange, which is vibrant energy and positivity; ;or it could be red, for a little romance and putting life back into the relationship; or it may be silver grey -to add a bit of magic and surpise.

Once you have your list of words, think of the situation in that photo, and the words you have written. Think about the offering that is made. Feel, or remember, how nice it is to be in the process of receiving and of giving love, affection, kindness, of sharing happy days.

Use your words or thoughts on the card, to make a love affirmation, mine is written below. You can also include your name within the affirmatin if you wish. Including your own words adds more energy and vibrancy to your affirmation.

"I .... come from Divine Love and Light. I carry Divine Love and Light within. I can only draw to me love and light. I can only give love and light. I draw to me ..... kindness, love, and companionship of others. Harmony and love is all around me. And so it is."

It may help to "bring back that loving feeling", into your life, heart, and life experience. Why not try it, and jot down your thoughts/ results as a comment for me - it will be nice to hear from you! Perhaps you may like to look for the 6 of cups in the free downloads of tarot on the net, and print it out in a size that you can carry in your bag, or wallet, or place it as a book mark in your diary, to reflect on as the days go by.

With love and light. Happy Days.
